"For all the hullabaloo about hotdish (i.e. casserole, in Minnesota-speak), very few restaurants serve it — it’s more of a home-cooking thing. One notable exception is the Mason Jar in the southeastern suburb of Eagan, which serves a classic tater tot hotdish with homemade cream of mushroom soup, seasoned ground beef, corn, and, of course, rows and rows of golden tater tots topped with cheddar cheese. If a road trip is in the cards, head out to East Grand Forks, where Food Network star and cookbook author Molly Yeh serves a rotating skillet hotdish." - Joy Summers
