"I visited the new Randy’s Donuts at 2170 S. Rainbow Boulevard and found a small, 24-hour shop with a drive-thru serving sprinkle iced cake, chocolate iced cruller, and maple doughnuts topped with churros. The shop features a glass display case filled with pastel-glazed treats and one wall decorated with photos of the iconic California shop; most of the more than 60 varieties are priced under $3. The larger-than-life doughnut sign is still pending arrival — owner Mark Kelegian says it will arrive in a few months — and for now a roughly seven-foot-tall doughnut sits in the parking lot, partially concealed on opening day by a line of cars that stretched from the drive-thru and snaked down Rainbow Blvd." - Janna Karel
