"As the name suggests, this spot serves daegee gukbap (돼지국밥), which is a pork soup with rice. It’s considered one of Busan’s most famous and iconic foods. The dish originated in the 1950s when North Korean refugees fled south during the Korean War. Meat at the time was scarce and expensive, so pork bones discarded by the U.S. military were used to make the soup. In addition to their delicious soups, the handmade mandu (dumplings) and sundae (blood sausages) are out of this world. Ordering is with a self-serve kiosk with pictures and descriptions in both English and Korean.
