"The Kahani Social Group, the team behind the acclaimed Woodlands restaurant Amrina, has signed a lease for fried chicken restaurant Pok Pok Po, according to a press statement. The restaurant is the group’s second culinary venture. Brothers Surpreet and Preet Paul Singh and Michelin Plate chef Jassi Bindra will open the restaurant in the original location of the French restaurant Artisans in the heart of Midtown. Situated near restaurants such as JINYA Ramen Bar, Piola’s, and Gen Korean BBQ, fried chicken will be the focus at Pok Pok Po, as well as a selection of eclectic sides, housemade condiments, and sauces. 'The inspiration for Pok Pok Po stemmed from the overwhelming success of our fried chicken brunches at Amrina,' Singh said in the statement. 'We knew there was something truly special about our fried chicken, and we’re excited to bring that magic to Pok Pok Po.' Pok Pok Po is slated to open in late summer. The restaurant will be located at 3201 Louisiana Street." - Kayla Stewart
