"Last night five armed men wearing ski masks robbed the taco restaurant in Long Beach, stealing cash and bystanders' cell phones but causing no injuries. Although the business had interior and exterior cameras, the robbers smashed the computer that stored the footage, rendering surveillance ineffectual. Police say a cloud-based camera system might have preserved evidence, and the incident underscores why many restaurants are shifting away from cash toward card payments.
