"I discovered that Uma Casa was used to advertise a fake dinner on Eventbrite: someone used images from an October event chef Telmo Faria threw to list a dinner charging $22 to $62, and Faria only learned of it when a prospective diner contacted him with a food-allergy question. I followed Faria's and the diner's attempts to navigate Eventbrite's customer-service labyrinth — they reportedly couldn't reach anyone — and although the fraudulent listing was eventually taken down, it happened only after significant effort; caveat emptor." - Dianne de Guzman
