"I saw the canopied six-block entertainment district announce plans to restart its free shows on Wednesday, June 17, with local artists including Zowie Bowie, Tony Marques, Spandex Nation, and Alter Ego, but that return was postponed after Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak and public health officials intervened; the state contacted Fremont Street Experience president Patrick Hughes following the announcement. The venue already runs shows on the Viva Vision LED screen and has DJs playing background music, and it disinfects the pedestrian mall, parking garage, and SlotZilla towers twice a day, with decals in front of stages to keep fans seven feet apart and bars taped to encourage social distancing." - Susan Stapleton
