"A new neighborhood-focused restaurant from the Greenville-based Table 301 Restaurant Group led by executive chef Drew Erickson (a Greenville native who trained at Soby’s, helped open Passerelle Bistro, and spent four years as a saucier at The French Laundry), this concept aims to honor and expand Greenville’s culinary scene by remaining flexible and approachable. The nature-inspired dining room, done in browns and greens, feels relaxed and casual, featuring an eight-top central table with a lazy susan, an indoor/outdoor bar (with plans for to-go cocktails), and a rooftop level for light bites and drinks. Menus were developed through extensive testing—ten tasting dinners of ten dishes each—and prioritize seasonality and variety, with the team aiming to change dishes monthly or even biweekly and allowing sous chefs to showcase specialties. The opening menu spans playful to refined dishes, including a wagyu corndog with truffle aioli, a “dark spore” mushroom tartine with roasted garlic, sherry cream sauce, thyme, and warm ciabatta, and a chilled ceviche with market fish, leche de tigre, charred habanero, sea beans, nori, and lime. A cocktail program overseen by beverage director Joe Crossan features inventive cocktails (such as What’s The Story, Morning Glory—butterfly pea–infused Hendricks with lemon, blackberry, lavender, orgeat, and mint—and Rose Colored Glasses with pisco, citrus, strawberry, rose, and aquafaba) alongside non-alcoholic mixed options. Overall, the restaurant’s mission is to be a comfortable, ever-evolving spot that appeals to a wide range of diners while helping Greenville’s food scene grow into the future." - Sam Slaughter
