"Perched seven stories above downtown Palo Alto atop the Graduate Palo Alto, the President’s Terrace offers an intimate rooftop setting with an outdoor fireplace, couches, and vibrant green plants and is expected to open in early January. The hotel tapped Los Angeles bar consultant Bad Birdy for the drinks program, which includes a pistachio-forward mai tai called the Nutty Professor (pistachio orgeat and pistachio foam), a Weekend at Burning Man that pairs tequila with pineapple juice and an elote reduction, several non-alcoholic options, and a list of natural wines. The menu is described as seafood-forward, with dishes such as a kampachi crudo with chimichurri; a roasted cauliflower with sumac-infused raita sauce and pomegranate molasses; and Manresa Bread sourdough paired with bone marrow whipped into a spreadable “butter” infused with pickled fennel and confit garlic." - Dianne de Guzman
