"Opening in early 2021 in Chinatown's Center at Spring Mountain, I learned that Wolf Down — the Ottawa import from Joelle Parenteau, brought to the Center at Spring Mountain by Marc Marrone and Todd Lunger of Graffiti Hospitality — serves Berlin-style döner on a sesame-crusted Turkish flatbread stuffed with grilled beef, chicken, or tofu and loaded with veggies such as lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, or cabbage. The menu is kept intentionally small so they can focus on doing döners well; customers can order them as a sandwich, rice bowl, or salad (all priced the same). Two sauces are offered in secret or spicy varieties with a vegan option, and Marrone calls it “really great food and a really great price point that’s takeout friendly.” The concept is presented as a riff on the gyro or shawarma." - Susan Stapleton
