"A brand-new pizzeria pronounced “pie-oh-ah” has just opened in a Koreatown ghost kitchen (615 N. Western Avenue) specializing in Asian-influenced Neapolitan pies; the menu features eight blistered pies that range from traditional Italian fixings like quattro formaggi, soppressata, and margherita to more inventive toppings such as Hainan chicken, miso eggplant, and Asian pear. Behind the project are Melody and Russ Stein, who run the pizzeria with Deaf and hard-of-hearing workers and have adapted Mozzeria’s mission here by creating a fully accessible workplace using American Sign Language while continuing to provide training and career opportunities for Deaf individuals." - Cathy Chaplin
