"Reopened after nearly a decade, BALEENkitchen at the Sole on the Ocean returns the Grove Isle favorite under executive chef Adam Votaw—whose resume includes The Dining Room at Little Palm Island and Chispa—and features a tropical-flavored menu heavy on meat and seafood. Menu highlights include lobster sliders, spicy tuna tacos, calamari fritto, Caribbean conch chowder, miso-glazed mahi mahi, blue cheese crusted filet of beef and Key West pink shrimp, supported by an extensive wine, beer and cocktail list. The 4,200-square-foot space has floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor dining terraces that look onto the beach, offering both indoor and outdoor seating with maritime-themed decor.
