"The new Deep Ellum outpost of a Nashville hot chicken chain opens at 3000 Main Street and begins serving bone-in chicken, tenders, and sandwiches at 11 a.m.; the fast-casual spot offers a 1,000-square-foot outdoor patio plus 91 indoor seats. A Dallas-specific menu item — fried dill pickles tossed in the chain’s hot spices — debuts alongside the standard menu, and opening-day promotions include free chips with dill pickle seasoning. Signature offerings include the 1/2 bird plate (breast, thigh, leg & wing) served with two sides such as pimento mac and cheese and collard greens, plus bread and pickles for $14. Spice levels range from Southern (no heat) up to the intensely hot “Shut the Cluck Up.” The Deep Ellum location also expands boozy options with several batch cocktails on tap, white and sparkling wine, and frozen cocktails made with rum, vodka, or whiskey. This marks the chain’s first Texas location, with additional plans for Houston." - Adele Chapin
