"A narrow but tidy hole-in-the-wall with galvanized tin walls in the crowded stretch of shops in Depoe Bay, the Sticks has a tightly tuned and well-executed menu of fried goodies and ice cream. The counter-service restaurant features several fish and chips baskets — salmon, halibut, cod, and shrimp beer-battered with local Rogue ale and fried to an amber bronze. The fries are thin and the tartar sauce is one of several possible dips. For an alternative, opt for a chicken or shrimp po’ boy sandwich. And even if you’re filled with fries, order at least one potato tornado on a stick. The spiralized, seasoned, bread-crumbed marvel should be the town’s signature dish." - Emily Teel
