"I was relieved to read that Boka, the Brooklyn bodega cat who was abducted in late July, has been returned to the shop; a person who was “in contact with the cat-napper” brought the cat back, owner Abdulmajeed Albahri told Brooklyn Paper. After Albahri posted a photo of Boka to Instagram—where the cat has gained quite a following—customers poured into the shop to celebrate the return. A Reddit user claiming to be the person who took the cat posted that they grabbed Boka because they were “concerned for Boka’s safety” and said they had previously returned the cat to the bodega multiple times, but Albahri maintains Boka was properly cared for and says the abductor was lying." - Erika Adams
