"A restoration project led by former Old City attorney Dan Wheeler transformed a historic Revolutionary War–era building (first purchased in 2021) into a new drinking option in partnership with Chester County brewery Succession Fermentory, with a promise to keep the site's history intact. The upstairs, described as “where sotted seamen once slept in crowded beds,” has been converted into a museum “filled with relics dedicated to the neighborhood’s Revolutionary past and the story of tavern life in America,” per the Philadelphia Inquirer.
