"Located at 600 East Colfax Avenue in the former Los Tacos space, I found Menya Ramen & Poke to be a new two-floor restaurant that splits its menu between ramen and build-your-own poke bowls while offering a handful of small plates. The menu features thirteen types of ramen and DIY bowls with choices of tuna and salmon as well as janjan chicken, chashu pork, and beef bulgogi. Upstairs, a casual izakaya bar shows sports on TV and serves sakes and beers alongside small plates including buns, salads, fried rice, and gyoza. The group behind three other Menya locations and a Wasabi Sushi Bar in Belmar—co-owners J.W. Lee, Yamaguchi Katsuhisa, and Munehiro Kitasato—took over the space in November and opened by the end of the year as they expand their “fast-casual but chef-driven” concept; the restaurant is open 11 a.m.–9:30 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and until 10:30 p.m. Friday–Saturday." - Josie Sexton
