"About to open its first Nevada outpost under a metal, triangle-shaped arch at the Eastwind Center, this California bakery is bringing its cravable señorita bread, malasadas, and Filipino specialties to southeast Las Vegas. The new location will occupy two vacant suites for a roomy 2,400 square feet and already has signage up; it sits a short distance from IDK Craft Pizza & Kitchen and Tres Amigos Mexican Grill. Known for serving its sweet señorita rolls in batches of five or as many as a box of 65, the bread is prepared with butter, brown sugar, and breadcrumbs to produce a caramel-like note. The bakery—which operates seven locations including Sacramento and San Francisco—offers a lengthy roster of treats such as cream cheese and ube bitso-bitso pastries; Bavarian, cinnamon sugar, and dulce de leche malasadas; a full range of doughnuts; cheese pimento buns; and lumpia. An estimated opening date and the specific Las Vegas menu have not yet been announced." - Bradley Martin
