"CC Slaughters, one of Portland's quintessential gay clubs, is closing down on October 11. It has been a key destination for Portland’s queer community for 39 years. Like many other bars and clubs in Portland, it shut down in March due to the coronavirus pandemic and opened later with reduced capacity. Business was severely impacted, and the club's future remains uncertain." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
