LA’s Pitfire Pizza Is Opening a Restaurant in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"A cult-favorite pizza parlor founded in North Hollywood in 1997 and known for its sprawling flagship, Pitfire Pizza is finally coming to the Beacon La Costa in Carlsbad. I'm told the family-friendly spot—part of LA-based American Gonzo Food Corporation's collection—blisters its pies in a Marra Forni wood-fired oven on a sourdough crust, with specialties ranging from a classic margherita and chicken pesto to the Honey Bear, topped with sausage, Calabrian chilies, honey, and bee pollen. The menu will also include vegan and gluten-free pizza options, plus salads, pasta, and desserts from Superba’s bakery.
