Woodpile BBQ Shack Opens in Madison Heights | Eater Detroit

"After almost two years in the works, a Clawson barbecue staple is expanding with a second location in Madison Heights, taking over a former VFW hall at 630 E 11 Mile Road and opening Monday, December 30. Co-owners Scott Moloney (Treat Dreams) and Zac Idzikowski say the new 65-seat spot includes a full bar and keeps the smoky classics — brisket, pulled pork, chicken, sandwiches, and sides — while beefing up the menu with additions like loaded barbecue fries and nachos, barbecue sliders, and jumbo whole smoked wings. Woodpile has been open in Clawson for over four years; plans to expand to the Baltimore Station/New Center development in 2017 were canceled in mid-2019 due to developer delays, leaving the Madison Heights location as the only expansion. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday–Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday–Saturday." - Tim Forster
