"A Lyon Township restaurant dining room inside a shooting range has reopened in defiance of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s executive orders: Molly Pitcher’s Lounge resumed dine-in service offering menu items billed as “freedom burgers” and “essential burgers.” Owner Ed Swadish — who also owns Huron Valley Guns — initially closed the restaurant, saying COVID-19 is “very real and sad,” but reopened because he believes the state’s cautious reopening process is political and is putting his business in danger. The lounge says it will follow social-distancing precautions by spacing tables six to 10 feet apart and having five to six staff wear N95 masks and gloves, while customers are not required to wear masks; Swadish said people who are concerned about their health or are high-risk should stay home. The reopening is presented as part of a broader protest by businesses against the statewide dine-in closures." - Brenna Houck
