"Opening in January 2023 on Ada Street just off Broadway Market in Hackney, this eponymous deli from chef Oded Oren brings his take on Tel Aviv cuisine to one of London’s busiest food streets. The concept revives the prepared-foods and meal-kit approach his restaurant adopted during COVID closures: a retail selection centred on breads (pita and challah) and a range of ferments and pickles that add heat, acidity and spice to meals, plus ready-to-takeaway dinners previously only served at dinner—highlights include a Jerusalem mixed-grill pita, an amba chicken leg and a rotating fish with chraime (a thick stew of tomato, hot and sweet peppers, and spices).
