"Inspired by Texas culture, the new 12 South spot will bring grab-and-go breakfast tacos made on homemade tortillas, queso, and coffee and espresso service to Nashville when it opens in February at 2229 10th Avenue South. In addition to breakfast tacos, the menu will include salads, salsas, queso, and lunch taco options; mornings will focus on coffee and espresso service and afternoons will add alcoholic beverages. The restaurant is owned by longtime friends Andrew Wiseheart, Ben Edgerton, and Gabe Scott: Scott is a Nashville local with 20 years in the music industry (touring/session musician, record producer and TV/film composer) and is making his first foray into restaurants, inspired by frequent trips to taco shops in Texas and encouragement from his Texas-native wife and friends; Wiseheart (a San Angelo native) and Edgerton (a San Antonio native) are chef and co-owner of Contigo in Austin and co-founded Contigo Austin in 2011, later opening Contigo Fareground and Last Straw. The three met at a food retreat in San Antonio and later reconnected in Austin, then conceived Ladybird Taco together; the restaurant will debut food at Music City Food & Wine as a sneak peek and plans to open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m." - Delia Jo Ramsey
