"A casual counter-service sandwich shop on SE Cesar E Chavez, Shut Up and Eat served breakfast sandwiches, massive meatball subs, cheesesteaks, and other sandwiches for nearly ten years as part of a deli and catering group. The closure was sudden: the restaurant announced this morning that it closed its doors Sunday night for good, posting on its windows, “Regretfully, after nearly ten wonderful years, Shut Up and Eat has served its last sandwich. As of 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 3rd, we have closed our doors for the final time. We are very grateful to everyone who has supported us over the past decade.” The restaurant hasn’t provided any explanation for the sudden shutdown, and Eater has reached out for additional information." - Alex Frane
