Citrus Club Opens In Charleston With Reservation-Only System - Eater Carolinas
"Reservations are open for Charleston’s latest rooftop bar — Citrus Club. Perched on top of the Dewberry, this mid-century modern gem has the highest public viewpoint in the city. The cocktails are tropical, snacks are primarily seafood, and the experience is unlike anywhere else in Charleston. So, how does Citrus Club vary from other rooftop bars? Well, the first big difference is that patrons must make a reservation in advance. The hotel thinks of the space as an amenity for guests, but releases a few seats to the public two weeks in advance. Once visitors secure a reservation, they check in at the host stand in the Dewberry lobby. The host escorts the patrons to the elevator, which opens up to the Citrus Club waiting area on the eighth floor. Inside, there’s pale pink lounge seating and a small bar overlooking the patio. Outside, there’s plenty of seating and lush greenery as guest look out over the city. The view is unmatched. Drinks are on the tropical side with frozen pina coladas and a Polynesian Pearl Diver. The cocktails aren’t the normal saccharine tiki concoctions however — beverage director Ryan Casey spent months balancing the flavors in each of the drinks. There’s also beer and wine.
