"Housed in an 1,800-square-foot corner space that formerly held a Tropical Smoothie Cafe, the bistro reflects Florent Cheveau’s Burgundy roots with artwork, posters, and French newspaper motifs. Cheveau—who worked as pastry chef at Aria’s Jean Philippe Patisserie, was promoted to executive pastry chef at the MGM Grand, and won the 2018 USA World Chocolate Master title—serves an evolving menu of sweet and savory dishes. For breakfast I found croissants, beignets, honey Greek yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, savory Danishes, and a frittata; lunch expands to crepes, ham-and-cheese or turkey croissant sandwiches, plus hot options like a croque-monsieur and quiche Lorraine. Accompanying coffees, teas, and hot chocolate complement rows of desserts, including madeleines, macarons, sweet crepes, ice cream, a Napoleon, éclairs, flans, and tart or cake slices. The bakery is at Village Square and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., closing at 2 p.m. on Sundays." - Bradley Martin
