"Promising to be worth the wait, Heim Barbecue’s second location — nicknamed “Heim on the River” — opens April 16 in Fort Worth’s River District after two years in the making. Fans of the restaurant’s bacon burnt ends will be happy to know the new outpost will serve more barbecue thanks to eight smokers on site, with menu highlights including prime brisket, the HEIMBurger, twice-baked potato salad, sausages, pulled pork tacos with brisket-fat tortillas, and hand pies.
