"I learned Slush Restaurant and Bar is opening Wednesday, April 21 in the former Music Room and Bone Lick Southern Kitchen spaces on Edgewood Avenue in Sweet Auburn near downtown Atlanta; it's owned by Dogwood Restaurant Group founder Walter L. Jordan, Kenya Amos of BQE Restaurant and Lounge, and financier and Clark Atlanta University alumna Dishamica Smith. The concept pairs a bevy of frozen cocktails with tapas-style dishes such as a fried green tomato BLT salad, a trio of deviled eggs, Moroccan-style mussels in a coconut-curry broth, and Cajun fried Cornish hens with homemade hot sauce, along with desserts like a bananas foster cheesecake, apple and peach cobbler shooters, and a chocolate molten cake topped with Grand Marnier berries and mint. The space received an HVAC upgrade with a high-tech UV lighting and air-purifying filtration system that is said to reduce indoor odors and kill volatile organic compounds and biological contaminants (including the virus that causes COVID-19), and masks are required when not eating or drinking; hours are Wednesday–Thursday 4 p.m.–12 a.m., Friday 4 p.m.–2 a.m., Saturday 12 p.m.–2 a.m., and Sunday 12 p.m.–12 a.m." - Beth McKibben
