Two Bay-Area Restaurants Open New Ghost Kitchens in Austin - Eater Austin

"Up in North Austin, Chicken as Cluck focuses on pressure-fried chicken in sandwiches or “chunks.” There are also appetizers like fries, coleslaw, and jalapeño poppers, as well as a rotating menu available every week (this week features burritos, cheesecake, cornbread, and more). Chicken as Cluck owner Bua Vanitsthian opened the restaurant in 2019 in San Francisco. Austin is her second location (it opened on December 1), with a third planned for Dallas in 2021. Per a press release, she wanted a restaurant that would last through “thick and thin,” and opted for a ghost kitchen to eliminate front-of-house operations. Chicken as Cluck is available for pickup or delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats, Postmates, Grubhub, and Favor, through online ordering.
