"After years of chasing down chef Rouha Sadighi's colorful food truck, I finally have a permanent spot for the buzzed-about Rico Suave breakfast burrito in Pico‑Robertson. This is Sadighi’s first standalone project after operating mostly on Abbot Kinney and other Westside spots, and she’s kept her formidable wholesale business selling finished burritos to coffee shops up and down the coast. The menu keeps the signature Rico Suave—with all that avocado—and expands into lunchtime sandwiches and salads, plus items like the Kevin Bacon (an ode to a classic BLT), the Cubano‑inspired Andy Garcia, a burger, and tater tot sides. The former Komodo has been completely revamped to maximize the kitchen; seating is a few counter and stool spots up front and one large communal table, but the place is meant to be a mellow quick‑stop for dining before moving on. It opens on Friday and will keep hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends." - Farley Elliott
