"In Sedona at the Coffee Pot Restaurant I find the kind of busy diner scene many places hope for during the morning rush: servers in bright red T-shirts and aprons chat beneath southwestern motifs and rockscape paintings while hikers drained from Red Rock State Park filter in for fuel. Despite the town’s health-focused marketing and an abundance of places to get your aura photo taken, there aren’t many cafes with transparently sourced, fairly purchased coffee, so Coffee Pot’s $3.75 cup will have to do; it’s probably not good for the planet or for workers, but when there’s nothing better around and the nostalgia hits, a jet-black, bitter cup of diner coffee remains an affordable, bottomless delight." - Paolo Bicchieri
