"At the Kirkland Oktoberfest I encountered a loud, 21-plus weekend (running from the 22nd to the 24th) built around playful Bavarian traditions — including the notorious Bavarian handshake (passing your hand through the crotch flap of your lederhosen) which attendees chain together in an attempt to set a world record — plus wiener dog races and an entertainment slate headlined by Manuela Horn, a.k.a. the Austrian Amazon.
