"Opened April 13 as the chain’s first East Coast location, this industrial-style spot at 7904 Woodmont Avenue in Bethesda serves its signature grilled King’s Hawaiian roll hot dogs overseen by Food Network star Adam Gertler, including the “Sooo Cali” (wild arugula, avocado, tomato, crispy onions, and spicy basil aioli) and the “Chili Idol” (an all-beef dog topped with chili, cheddar cheese sauce and onions), along with corn dogs, a fried chicken sandwich, chili cheese tots, loaded fries, beer-battered onion rings, milkshakes and soft-serve; there’s also a full bar with wines, roughly two dozen local beers and rosé slushies. Early responses are split: some diners say “everything was really tasty,” praise the full bar and value (one reviewer noted a meal with two drinks ran about $30), and enjoy the chic, cozy wood-and-iron interior, fun music and buzzing, energetic staff; others found the dogs underwhelming or “missing something,” criticized young or undertrained staff and chaotic service, and warned that the concrete/tile/wood interior, many TVs and loud music make the place noisy and hard to have a conversation." - Tierney Plumb
