"When frozen yogurt purveyors Pinkberry opened in 2012, right on the Strip in front of the then-Mandarin Oriental, plans called for six locations across the city. That never happened. One location opened at Boca Park, another went to the Tropicana, and a third was planned for Henderson. Now all are gone. On the Strip, the shop sat next to Bobby’s Burger Palace from chef Bobby Flay and featured a mural display, along with 30-plus toppings. Since opening, Mandarin Oriental converted into Waldorf Astoria, although the shop was technically part of the Shops at Crystals next door. This location stayed open until 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Pinkberry serves a tart frozen yogurt. The company started in 2005 in Los Angeles, rolling out frozen yogurt to 21 countries over the next 10 years." - Susan Stapleton
