"Opening its first of five Las Vegas locations in early 2022 in the Centennial Montecito Marketplace at Durango Drive and Elkhorn Road (taking over a former See’s Candy space anchored by a Smith’s), Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes will enter the crowded fast-casual burger market with a menu of novelty configurations: a certified Angus beef-and-hot-dog combo, a barbecue burger, turkey burgers, a black bean burger, and a bun-less lettuce-wrapped option. I noted they use Hebrew National hot dogs, offer french fries hand-cut from Idaho potatoes, house-made potato chips, and sweet potato fries, and serve eight shake flavors made with all-natural ice cream (including Reese’s peanut butter cup and Oreo) plus seasonal limited editions like pumpkin pie and Texas pecan. Local investor Josh Aighobahi, a former clinical pharmacist, signed on to open three Las Vegas locations with potential for a total of five citywide." - Susan Stapleton
