"After relocating his fine dining restaurant Anhelo to Old Town Scottsdale in early 2025, chef-owner Ivan Jacobo unveiled Flour & Thyme in the same historic Orpheum Lofts space. A self-described “love letter” to downtown Phoenix, the new spot retains the finesse of Anhelo but swaps tasting menus for versatile a la carte offerings spanning seafood, vegetables, and meats. Starters include a foie gras torchon paired with pumpkin and pomegranate seed granola, as well as chawanmushi crowned with Ossetra caviar. Those looking to splurge can opt for the seven-course, $180 chef’s tasting menu. Dessert highlights feature corn three ways: corn ice cream, corn mousse, and frozen popcorn kernels, topped with salted caramel drizzle. Though Flour & Thyme is more relaxed than its predecessor, it still fits the bill for a special night out — making it a notable addition to downtown’s higher-end dining scene." - Mcconnell Quinn, Nikki Buchanan
