"Located at Alpharetta City Center on Commerce Street and owned locally by Paula Sauer, I note that this California-based fast-casual chain centers its menu around açaí bowls and markets itself on “clean eating” with a sugar- and preservative-free kitchen that it says avoids cross-contamination. Bowls are mixed with toppings such as granola, hemp seeds, and bee pollen and also feature more obscure superfood ingredients like mangosteen, graviola, and moringa leaves; the menu also includes soups, paninis, salads, juices, and smoothies. The Alpharetta location is open Monday–Saturday 8 a.m.–8 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.–7 p.m., and the brand has more than 50 locations nationwide, including in Dunwoody and Midtown Atlanta." - Beth McKibben
