"I was excited to see Hetchy’s Hots return for a three-day pop-up (May 15–17) at 1077 Mission Street, reviving the gloriously breaded and fried chicken sandwiches the shop became known for; for this run the sandwiches are served on a special hoagie roll and include two options: the Vodka Parm, featuring a breaded and fried chicken cutlet smothered in vodka sauce, topped with fresh mozzarella and finished with a Calabrian chile compound butter, and the Szetchy Hot, a fried cutlet seasoned with the same Szechuan spice blend used on the restaurant’s wings, dunked in spicy oil and served with pickled red onions and house-made Kewpie-style mayo. The sandwiches are $16.50 each, limited to 50 per day, dine-in only between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., with $5 Eventbrite deposits toward a sandwich." - Dianne de Guzman
