"A planned transformation of a vacant two-story, 11,664-square-foot Main Street building (with an adjacent 5,052-square-foot lot) into downtown’s premier restaurant, lounge and day/night club. The Ryan Allord–designed project will feature a small speakeasy by the front entrance, a 300-seat main dining room with a DJ booth, an additional rear first-floor bar, a separate video poker lounge, and an open upstairs level with extra dining and a second lounge/bar. The outdoor-ground-floor pool will double as a day club surrounded by cabanas and full-height indoor/outdoor trees to create a “plush green” atmosphere accented by exotic woods and finishes; Sunday brunch is planned to be served poolside. Intended to operate from 11 a.m. to 5 a.m. daily, the venue also plans to import exclusive seafood delicacies from Australia for menu options not yet seen in the U.S. The team includes Jason Manley, former general manager of the recently closed Fizz champagne lounge, and the owners are optimistically targeting a June opening." - Bradley Martin
