"I also observed that The Meet Room served as a neighborhood watering hole and hangout for the 12 South area. In his Instagram post Barlow wrote “Change is good. It’s time for me to move on and try something else,” and added that “we were successful in our goal to build a place for the community to gather and connect,” calling it a “modern hearth.” He said the new owners will continue that sense of community, that he’s excited to see what they do and to hang with everyone on the other side of the bar, and that it’s still his neighborhood joint; like Sloco, The Meet Room has been sold and will operate on a limited schedule until closing under his watch on May 20." - Delia Jo Ramsey
