"While Alpharetta isn’t too far from the many Korean restaurants found along Buford Highway and nearby cities like Duluth, Kimchi Red has become a go-to for bulgogi and its must-eat Korean fried chicken — they secured the title of 2023’s “Best Fried Chicken in the Nation” by the folks at Yelp and landed our Best Dishes roundup in September. Owner Joy Lee and the team make all their toppings and sauces in-house (the Jeonju sauce is sweet and spicy and the soy garlic pepper is plenty savory and umami) and fry up juicy and crisp chicken that packs quite a punch on texture and flavor.
