Austin Dive Bar Lala’s Opens South Austin Bar Lala’s South Pole | Eater Austin
"I note that Lala’s South Pole is set to open Tuesday, August 13 at 3008 Davis Lane in the Cherry Creek neighborhood as the South Austin outpost of Austin’s all-things-Christmas dive bar; it will offer cocktails, beers, and select wines much like its northern counterpart. The southern location’s cocktail lineup includes Santa’s Little Helper (vodka, coffee liqueur, peppermint schnapps, espresso, chocolate bitters), the Spiced Manzana Pie (tequila, spiced cider, triple sec, lemon, all-spice salt), and the South Pole Sour (bourbon, amaretto, lemon, simple syrup, with a red wine float). I also note it will house a Brooklyn Pie Co. location serving pizza, calzones, and chicken wings, and its hours will be 3 p.m.–midnight Monday–Friday and noon–midnight Saturday–Sunday." - Nadia Chaudhury
