"After a lengthy wait, I’m excited that H-Mart will finally make its debut at Katy Asian Town; the supermarket anchors the development and currently operates two locations in Houston proper, but this marks the chain’s first expansion into the suburbs. It’s known for an extensive array of Korean groceries — a dazzling selection of banchan, various types of kimchi, pre-marinated bulgogi, and an entire aisle of instant noodles — and it also features a food court serving Korean fried chicken, soft tofu soup, and dumplings. H-Mart arrives in Katy on September 21 with doors opening at 10:30 a.m., and don’t be surprised if there’s a lengthy line of people waiting for free gifts, music performances, and more." - Amy McCarthy
