Dave’s Hot Chicken Restaurant Is Opening in Dearborn, Michigan | Eater Detroit

"Having grown from a scrappy East Los Angeles parking-lot pop-up in early 2017 into a nationwide franchise, Dave's Hot Chicken is bringing its tenders and sliders to Dearborn. The new restaurant serves hot chicken tenders and sliders with sides like house-made kale slaw, creamy mac ’n’ cheese and crispy seasoned French fries; spice levels are adjustable from “no spice” up to the ominous-sounding “reaper” (which requires a signed waiver). Operators have been tight-lipped about sourcing, but say the birds are halal-certified and come from the company’s longtime supplier dating back to its parking-lot beginnings. Customers can choose outdoor dining or indoor seating that features custom artwork representing the Motor City. The location opens Friday, October 29 and will be open daily from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.; the brand has expanded rapidly through franchising, sold rights to almost 500 locations, recently opened in Chicago, and attracted high-profile investors including Drake, Maria Shriver, Samuel L.
