"Carrying on a wine-making tradition begun in Italy, the Renzoni family operates one of several good wineries on the DePortola Road section of Temecula’s wine route. Most of their 12 acres are planted with Bordeaux and Italian grape varieties, with the production of its wine — including the estate-grown Sangiovese, Riserva Petite Sirah, and the full-bodied Montepulciano — overseen by lead winemaker Olivia Bue, an Encinitas native who’s been at the winery for over a decade.
