"Bar Avize is the more casual sister to Avize, the new Alpine fine-dining restaurant by chef Karl Gorline. The bar is attached to the Westside restaurant, and it’s out back in the renovated patio with covered, fireside seating. Vibes are chiller here — think bar bites (fondue, spaetzle, bratwurst, bougie chicken nuggets, and Taleggio Alpine cheese-wiz fries) and cocktails starting at $15. The wine list is tight; hospitality director and sommelier Taurean Philpott has daily specials of lesser-known Alpine wines on the board.
