"A Texas food-and-wine festival that connects local chefs with family farms, founded in Dallas in 2010 as a small farm-to-table dinner series and since expanded into a large showcase that raises awareness and support for family farms across the state. Making its Houston debut this fall, the 21-and-up event runs 1–5 p.m. on Sunday, October 2 and pairs chefs such as Top Chef: Houston finalist Evelyn Garcia, Aaron Bludorn (of Bludorn), and Niki Vongthong (chef of Hidden Omakase) with farmers to highlight seasonal, sustainable food. The event will feature tastings, live entertainment, and beverage pairings including cocktails, craft beer, and wine, and is partnering with a local nonprofit food bank. Tickets go on sale July 11 via the festival website, with early-bird VIP ($135 through July 15) granting entry an hour early (1 p.m.) and early-bird general admission ($99 through July 15) granting entry at 2 p.m.; later limited tickets are $150 for VIP and $115 for general admission." - Brittany Britto Garley
