"A quick-serve concept focused on customizable, healthy bowls built around seasonal produce, it began inside Wells St. Market and pivoted during the pandemic to selling salads and ready-to-go meals through grocers such as Urban Market and Local Foods. Founded by Kasia Bednarz (who worked in operations for Gibsons Restaurant Group) and Britni DeLeon (a mother motivated by her daughter's severe food allergies), the duo returned to downtown as part of the From Here On food hall at the Old Post Office before opening their first standalone cafe just north of the Willis Tower. The new space expands capacity, supports a delivery radius reaching roughly Lincoln Park to the north and South Loop to the south, and adds a full coffee and tea program featuring Passion House Coffee Roasters and Rishi Tea to create an all-day café vibe. The menu mixes health-forward options (custom bowls, seasonal produce) with crowd-pleasers like smoky pulled chicken, turkey basil meatballs, roasted salmon and all-day avocado toast, while still offering indulgent items such as mac and cheese. Having shut down their pandemic-era grocery operation to focus on cafes, the founders still plan occasional retail partnerships (including a future presence at Dom’s Kitchen & Market) as they aim to expand into neighborhoods and the suburbs." - Ashok Selvam
