"On Glendale Boulevard in Historic Filipinotown I joined fans queued in front of a bright-orange truck parked in the back of a nameless car wash lot to watch the taquero flick pieces of marinated pork for al pastor straight into warm tortillas; I also saw the meat stacked into mulitas stuffed with melted cheese. Orders arrive on disposable plates and people hover over trash cans or the hoods of their cars to eat the last bites—often before getting right back in line for more." - Farley Elliott
